I have exceptional communication skills and am able to utilize critical thinking and problem solving in various situations. I am dependable and work well in a team as well as on my own, as I also have valuable time management skills. I aim to work swiftly with a commitment to providing quality care.
As a nursing assistant in the float pool at a busy hospital, I was able to develop valuable skills and knowledge in multiple departments, such as Medical-Surgical-Telemetry, ICU, CVICU, and ER.
As a housekeeper who was thoroughly cross-trained in every area within the Environmental Services department (especially Med/Surg, ICU, ER, and OR), I am well versed in what goes on in each department due to my expansive EVS experience throughout the hospital. Therefore, I am very familiar with working in patient-care areas and respectfully interacting with patients and staff. I also have experience as an EVS Lead.
As a volunteer in the ER at the VA, I learned how to efficiently work in a fast-paced environment and effectively communicate with patients and staff. This is when I learned of my empathy and passion for caring for those in need, as well as giving back to this nation's great heroes.
