  • Member, Smyrna Youth Council, City of Smyrna, Smyrna, GA, 9, 10, The Youth Council is a leadership development program for the high school youth of Smyrna to learn about government, participate in the process, and to represent and articulate the needs of the community’s youth. Members Identify youth needs in the community, provide a means by which the City’s youth can be heard, and bring awareness of those needs to Smyrna City Council and staff. Selected through rigorous and competitive application and interview process by city leadership to serve as member of inaugural Smyrna Youth Council Served as Youth Council member, participating in initiatives serving local schools, meeting with city government organizations such as the police and fire departments to learn how to better serve the community. Unfortunately, the Youth Council was cut short by Covid-19.
