I am in charge of cleaning and testing used bakery equipment in order to be ready for resale, as well as serving as an assistant delivery driver for said equipment. Other tasks include the daily maintenance of the shop (Warehouse), making sure compressors and all other equipment used for cleaning and testing are in working order. I also answer customer service calls and visits, more so when a bilingual speaker is needed.

As a Landscape Foreman at O'Connell, I would oversee a crew of 7 or 10 at a time in the maintenance of San Elijo North. Daily maintenance is a must in this community and requires me to have knowledge of pruning, edging, fertilizing, mowing, irrigation, etc. Just as important, however, I was expected to keep up with customer suggestions and complaints, and to be able to address and correct any problems in a timely manner. Making sure my crew's safety was also my main concern above all.

As a laborer, I started in the company like everyone, mowing lawns and your basic clean-up. After about only three months, I was allowed to work with all machinery, including the leaf blower, hedge trimmers, weed eaters, zero-turn mowers, timers, valves, etc. Already being familiar with this equipment, I had worked landscaping with my uncle since I was thirteen years old. I was promoted to foreman within the year, and I oversaw the care and maintenance of three properties, managing a crew of five landscapers. Other than maintenance work, my crew was also in charge of property enhancements. For example, installing rocks, mulch beds, and other decorative elements to enhance the look of landscapes.
