Experience- I was responsible for the proper operations of machinery in the production of raw blood and the processing of the tallow from all the trimming of all the cattle that were being processed. I made sure that all sample specifications were correct and that all documentation that was required was filled out properly and if any issues were to be found, that the equipment program settings were adjusted to put the yield samples into the required specifications. If the machines went down for any reason, it was my job to trouble shoot the equipment and figure out as to why the machinery systems stopped. I could not repair the problem; I had to have a report to tell maintenance on what the problem could be after doing all my testing. If a part proved to be faulty, or just a glitch om the system, maintenance or the electricians were notified to come and repair problem.

As a maintenance person, most of my responsibilities were keeping the properties clean and addressed, by picking up the trash and by mowing. When I was not doing that, I spent a lot of my time painting apartments and getting them ready for the next tenants to move in. I repaired and replaced broken fixtures and toilets and any appliances that the complex furnished and kept them in good condition. I replaced breakers and outlets if they went bad, and also did monthly inspections, just to make sure the tenants were taking care of the units. I took care of all the sprinkler systems and made sure they stayed operational and replaced broken or faulty heads, repaired all the issues.

Experience-Industrial Maintenance Mechanic. Our team was responsible for the proper operation of industrial machinery used in the production of raw material to be processed. We had daily p.m.’s that were written instructions on how to properly maintain processing equipment. We were responsible for greasing and inspecting all moving parts and repaired any part of the machine that needed repair. We replaced: bearings, chains, chain sprockets, motors, chain guard, and hydraulic hoses that may have been damaged or in need of repair. We inspected reservoirs for the hydraulic systems and filled them as needed. If any parts needed to be replaced, we had a shop where we could fabricate most parts and rebuild broken parts by cutting them with torches and plasma cutters. We performed all the welding and installation of fabricated parts. We were responsible for most of the electrical trouble shooting when the systems would go down, we checked the motors for resistance in the windings, and if found to be bad, we replaced the components or motor that were damaged. I also was a lead man for a few yrs; I was right under the supervisor and was responsible for the shift and the machines ran efficiently. I looked over all the paperwork and made sure all assigned work got done before the end of the shift. We worked rotating 12 hr. shifts four days a week.
