As a hostess, I would greet and seat people as soon as they walked in. I helped set up tables for large parties and I cleaned up any tables that needed to be wiped down in order to have them ready for the next set of customers. As a runner, I served people their food and had responsibilities in the kitchen. My responsibilities included taking out the trash, organizing the kitchen ware, cleaning up my environment, collecting bus tubs filled with dirty dishes and then putting them away after they have been washed.
