  • As a phone agent for the Department of Veterans Affairs I have been responsible for being able to provide up to date information on all VA programs and benefits over the phone to veterans and their dependents
  • I do this by reviewing education claims, developing and gathering relevant evidence from multiple sources, I also explain steps on problem resolution to the caller so if they need to apply I walk them through options and or the application itself; if it is missing information I provide steps on how to solve these issues whether that be the student reaching out to the school to let them know we are missing information for their files, or for the caller to send in needed information to the VA for their education file
  • I also verify payments to student if they failed to verify properly, and or if they failed to update their information to receive payments
  • I also help SCOs with their problems in students file that can be simple confirmation of benefits and or if they have sent in information and it has not come through, I trouble shoot with them on how we fix this issue and help keep our claimants benefits running smoothly
