I started here as a measure/loader and was quickly moved into training as an Operator on a Grinding CNC machine

Here i used calipers, micrometers, Video comparators, Optical Comparators, CMM devices,

As an operator I set up machines for many different parts and dialed in parts to specifications set by blueprints.

• Manufacture and produce good parts according to customer specifications
• Maintain tolerances,
• Read blueprints, adjust machines as needed so quality of parts are consistent with requirements.

• Operate machines to make parts up to quality standards
• Use mics and calipers, other devices to ensure parts conform to blueprint per customer.

• To ensure quality product is produced in a safe, efficient environment to maintain quality on time delivery and cost
• Assessments, plant inspections, behavioral observation, discuss tool usage, etc
• Coaching, problem solving, downtime management
• Tooling changes, offset changes, first piece shift inspections, rover shift checks, machine maintenance
• Break coverages, shift prep, shift report including numbers and downtime calculations
• Check calibration logs on micrometer, and caliper check ins per operator
• Ensure all materials needed for production are in cells and prepped for next shift for start up/shift change.

• Machine FAI parts, machine inspections
• Run programs per part specifications, leak test, inspect, and package
• Train new team members, keep work area clean etc
• Help engineers determine tolerances, processing and standards.
