  • Served in a number of roles leading to Overseer for the California center of Mission Teens Programs, a national spiritual-based residential rehabilitation program for adolescents and adults with serious drug and alcohol, emotional, and spiritual issues – hired as counselor and promoted to senior counselor, to Dean of Counselors, and finally to manage full operations oversight - all in the period of one year! Oversaw all daily program operations – insured two classroom programs were properly staffed and conducted each weekday; worked with the program dean to determine substitutes in the absence of scheduled teachers; and coordinated staff meetings, meetings with program director and dean, counseling sessions with residents; and supervisory meetings with counselors
  • Wrote and delivered daily reports to the program director of requests by residents (outside contact, leave program, visitors, etc.), medical reports, and other priorities of the home
  • Served as counselor for residents, supervisor, and dean of counselors – insured each resident received weekly individual counseling (at minimum); provided counseling; and administered counselor work schedule for up to 8 counselors
  • Interviewed applicants requesting acceptance into program – determined situation and needs of prospective residents; accepted/rejected or made recommendations for candidates for the program; and corresponded with incarcerated applicants to evaluate and coordinate acceptance into program
  • Produced documentation of each applicant to the program, at intervals in the program, and at end of program/graduation –tracked progress of residents or oversaw tracking of progress by other counselors; and produced letters for residents at time of graduation from the program.
