As a Brand Ambassador I was in charge of document control and general upkeep within the sales department. I would be responsible for scanning and organizing sales documents from the sales representatives and ensuring that they were passed along to the next department to place the order and gather the installation crew information and schedule them accordingly to the product shipping date. Along with the general documentation upkeep, I was tasked with updating the sales excel sheet with the total sales, product type, payment information and order numbers for each of the sales representatives. At the end of each month, I would gather the final information and complete a report with each of the sales representatives respected sales and quotes of the month and pass it along to the necessary staff member to help with payroll for the sales representatives each month. Along with this, I was tasked with general upkeep of our showroom meaning I would order literature product, new displays, miniature displays for the sales representative's use and any other sales product that would assist the representatives to ensure their sales. Another aspect of this job was answering the phone and scheduling clients for an in-home consultation and gathering the necessary information from the homeowner as well to create an account with us to begin their sales journey. With these calls as well, I would help answer general product information questions and redirect their calls to the necessary department they were trying to reach, for example transferring them to our service department when they needed someone to come take a look at a defected part of their window and/or door. The last part of my responsibilities at this position was assisting our corporate marketing team with approvals on upcoming promotional pieces such as postcards, online ads, video approvals and much more, I would attend monthly marketing meetings to discuss upcoming promotions, new marketing ideas and our overall cost for each marketing campaign that we would run.
As one of the front desk assistants, my receptionist duties include but are not limited to: greeting and assisting patients as they arrive, ensuring prompt check-in and completion of necessary paperwork, answering phone calls from patients, healthcare providers, and other medical offices to help schedule appointments, deal with incoming/outgoing referrals and gather diagonistic information. As a chiropractic assistant; I assist with therapies such as electric stimulates where we attach stim pads to patient's main pain areas and control the electrical stimulation that flows through the pads to help control the pain; roller bed, decompressions along their spines and heat and ice therapies to help with swelling and inflammation. I help process x-rays that we take in house and file them away properly for the doctors to review with the patient. My receptionist duties include but are not limited to: answering phone calls from patients and other doctor's offices to schedule appointments, deal with referrals and gather diagnostic information. Scheduling appointments for multiple doctors, charting information within patient's personal charts, entering medical coding into our medical billing department and contacting insurance companies about pre-authorization and billing inquiries. Dealing with payment information for copay and deductibles and charting all financial information for closing duties and in the middle of the day to ensure we are accounting everything correctly.
As a PCT at Miami Valley Hospital; I worked on a medical surgery floor where I would obtain patient's vitals every 4 to 8 hours depending on the physician's orders, I would also collect glucose levels on diabetic patients and report back to their nurse for if they needed their insulin or not. I was also a crucial role in the physical care of the patient such as dressing, bathing, grooming and bathroom assists and helping them move around their room. I would answer call lights and round on my patients every other hour and assist patients and nurses with specific needs. I would chart on all my patient's and making sure to read the patient's notes to understand their diet preference, moving ability and discharge planning to help the patient continue on the path to them getting better enough for discharge planning.
As a PCT I would help nurses with situations like grooming the patients, foley catheter care, blood transfusions reactions, turning and repositioning patients and wound care. As a PCT I learned how to communicate with nurses and PCTs alike in order to enhance patient care and help communicate patient's needs and necessities.
Another role as a PCT was help keeping rooms stocked up with specific needs from our med room. I would stock things like but not limited to alcohol pads, seizure pads, blankets and pillows, gauze, chucks and briefs and cleaning supplies to clean patient's up if their were incontinence.
As a PCT at Biolife Plasma Services; I would greet patients as they walked into the door and direct them towards the electronic questionnaire and review the questions when answers had changed since their last appointment. I would then assess their vital signs along with collect a small blood sample to test the patient's hematocrit and examine their plasma color to test any abnormalities. I would also set up patient's appointments and create their online profiles on our website along with an electronic chart with the patient's information. I would help collect and file away paperwork for our nurses and building physician from their family physicians. I would also help stock all of the pct's booths with the necessities needed to collect the vitals and collect the blood specimen. On the floor where the plasma donation would take place, I was trained to remove the needle from the patient's arm; I would also seal off the specific points of the tubing to collect the plasma bottle and bags to finish of the patient's donations. I would print off labels and collect the supplies needed to start the plasma donation and transfer the bags and bottles to the prep station to be prepped for shipment to our lab. I was also trained on how to react to certain alarms that the machine would catch such as air in the line, change in the plasma color and if the line is going bad. As a PCT you would also be trained on how to help with patient's reactions and help the nurses with caring for the patient after their reactions. I was also a certified trainer while working there, I would train incoming PCTs on how to collect vitals, collect blood samples and how to create online profiles and their charts for us to use and see information on the patient.
