Responsibilities and skills include but are not limited to: admitting/discharging patients, diabetes management, surgical site prep, IV therapy, lab draws, pre/post-op patient assessments, medication administration, wound care, time management, patient education/discharge teaching, pain management, Epic charting.

• Trained to work Preop and the Post Anesthesia Care Unit in a busy outpatient orthopedic surgery center.
• Responsibilities and skills include but are not limited to: admitting/discharging patients to surgery, diabetes management, surgical site prep, IV therapy, pre/post-op patient assessments, medication administration, wound care, respiratory/airway management, patient education/discharge teaching, pain management
• In 2022-2023, as a member of the Total Joint Committee, I revised and updated all total joint replacement PREOP/PACU orders and discharge instructions for the surgery center.

• Assumes responsibility and accountability for up to eight patients per shift in an acute care setting performing a comprehensive range of clinical functions, evaluations and interventions.
• Skills include, but are not limited to: teamwork, medication administration, orthopedic team member, wound care, charge nurse duties, time management, pain management, infection control, central line management, head-to-toe assessments, telemetry monitoring, IV therapy, patient education, diabetes monitoring/management, tube/drain management, emergency response, discharge teaching
