Assists with recruiting, hiring, supervising, and evaluating administrators and staff.

Serves as liaison to the Pennsylvania Department of Education, the Intermediate Unit, and agencies having responsibilities to the District in matters relating to the educational programs of the District.
Identifies and coordinates business and industry partnerships in education for students and implements individual projects.
Manages parent/guardian concerns regarding testing, assessment, the educational program, or curriculum in coordination with the building principal.
Coordinates the supervision and evaluation of all K-12 professional, paraprofessional, and support staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Supervises and annually evaluates the K-12 Assistant Superintendent support staff.
Provides leadership of and oversight for K-12 Department Heads for annual department goal-setting and subsequent meetings, in cooperation with the building principals.
In cooperation with the Coordinator of Student Services, provides oversight and leadership for the supervision and evaluation of all paraprofessional staff.
In cooperation with the Superintendent and Business Office, ensures proper adherence to applicable rules and regulations as indicated in PA School Code and in Pennsylvania Act 13.
Acts as Superintendent when the Superintendent is unavailable or unable to serve in his/her normal capacity.
Designed a series of summer courses for students that reflected the appropriate state standards for math, science, history, art and social development.
