Assist in the completion of psycho social evaluations, group therapy, coping skills and implementation of therapeutic and safe environments, crisis intervention, and therapeutic holds
Educate patients and families on interventions, coping skills, and the importance of monitoring behaviors and changes
Previous certification in PCM and CPI some components of LSCI, current BLS CPR and First Aid Certification, diffuse potentially dangerous situations involving clients and staff
Obtain vital signs, finger stick blood sugar, vital signs with parameters, and chart results. Perform all aspects of patient care, nursing assistant duties as assigned
Perform catheter care, evaluate tolerance of treatment, assess skin, vital signs, and changes in behaviors, report any unusual findings to charge nurse
Perform wound care, assess wound sites for healing and effectiveness of treatment, provide tracheostomy care and suctioning as needed, and assist with insertion and samples taken from Foley catheters, maintaining aseptic and sterile techniques as required
Monitor chart documents, check doctor’s orders, check for any allergies or possible intolerance or treatment not indicated for patient
Sit one to one with patients who have been ordered direct care from physician.
