Manage all eventualities related to the various types of beds that are utilized at the Mount Sinai Medical Center, Main Campus. This is an institution that has 1000+ beds. This includes all ongoing education and support documents for all nursing floors. I was hired to de escalate the costs related to our rental beds. I have accomplished this task over the years that I have been employed in this unique postion. My responsibility has been fiscal as well as educational. I am also the co chair person for the Safe Patient Handling Committee, and am responsible for all SPH initiatives at the main campus. Due to changing the culture, and with constant reinforcement and education, our injury numbers have lowered significantly. In December 2025, I was involved in a state inspectors visit (NYSIF)-which allowed for a significant discount for our SPH insurance. I work closely with the wound care team to ensure that our patients are placed on the correct therapeutic surface for their required needs. I have spearheaded 9 educational vendor fairs, during my tenure, and these have been used as educational vehicles to educate the staff.
Interfaced with specific clients to both educate and troubleshoot medical device products to end users (hospital staff). Worked mainly in the Operating Room, Central sterile Supply, and on units in the hospital setting -eg ICU;s. These activities were all educationally drive. Traveled to Texas, Florida, Maine, New England and New York. I was awarded the Nurse Consultant for the year 2016.
