Alison Youngblood

Motivated surgical technologist adept at handling instruments, supplies and equipment for non-invasive to minimally invasive procedures. Well versed in all operating room activities with a commitment to upholding the highest standard of sterile technique during procedures. Excited to bring fresh knowledge and skills to a growing organization and continue learning in the operating room. I am a highly-motivated employee with a desire to take on new challenges. Strong worth ethic, adaptability and exceptional interpersonal skills.

The previous five years I have worked in the service industry as a catering manager/shift lead at Jimmy Johns, sandwhich shop. I believe my skills anticipating the needs of my colleagues and customers and preparing for the day-to-day chaos in the kitchen has played a small part in my preparation for working alongside the operating room team.

I was selected to be the Director of the Surgery Technology programs Liaison which meant I would be named the Voice of the Student ;

My tasks included taking on the leadership role of my peers and requesting valuable information from them. Whether it be to improve the Surgery Technologist program, or what changes could be made, and then informing the Director and Clinical Coordinator what I learned.
