  • Took initiation to start a diversity book drive called R.E.A.D. (representation, equity, acceptance, diversity) for the underprivileged schools in our community. This is so students will see a reflection of themselves in the books they read. So far, we have worked with our city's newspaper/school district and held events to connect with the youth. Our group was invited to speak about our initiative on CBS Good Day Sacramento.

  • Got accepted into a selective activism program at Emerson College. Working with people via Zoom from all around the world I was able to analyze other people's approaches to situations. I contributed ideas, researched, and got statements from people for our presentation. At the end, I presented to a panel of judges and over a hundred students.

  • I am the founder of a podcast that works with a local company to talk about issues that are of importance to us. Along with some of my VFD members I have interviewed the first black chief of police of Tracy, first black mayor, our school psychologist during quarantine and have talked about cultural stereotypes.
