The Depot Supervisor will coordinate and manage all activities within assigned depot. In addition to providing leadership to the depot employees, the Supervisor will use utilize the principles of Lean Manufacturing/5S to organize the workplace, reveal problems, and sustain improvements in quality, productivity, safety, and cost.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DELIVERABLES:

  • Ensure all KPI's and other metrics are reported accurately.
  • Job specific – damage rate, components per repair and repair index
  • Direct and supervise depot operations ensuring the safety of employees and that the facility meets the required KPIs
  • Work with Team Leaders to develop the following:
  • Overall adherence to SOPs and other PECO and Depot Policies & Procedures.
  • Applied 6S Methodology (5S + Safety).
  • Adherence to critical quality procedures.
  • Understanding/implementation of visual workplace.
  • Meeting and attaining daily/weekly/monthly production goals.
  • Team Leaders and Associates leadership and other skills critical to operational success.
  • Spearhead elimination of defects by working with repair operators, Autosort operator and others to put permanent corrective actions in place.
  • Improve plant floor performance and morale by hands-on involvement training procedures with operators and other floor personnel.
  • Assist in the development and communication of performance objectives and acceptable standards of performance for depot personnel.
  • Provide consistent feedback to maintain performance standards.
  • Optimal utilization of the work force on the floor. Decrease the need for headcount while making jobs easier for employees by utilizing the principles of Lean Manufacturing.
  • Maintain a safe facility and adherence to safety protocols. Oversee the plant's safety program by monitoring for compliance with federal, state, and plant required safety rules and regulations.
  • Oversee and ensure that all required training is being conducted and in a timely fashion and recorded in keeping with OSHA and other regulatory agencies as well as PECO policy, this includes Safety training.
  • Conduct regular floor audits to ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • As Depot Supervisor, drive, and champion employee morale as key performance metric to minimize employee turnover and absenteeism.

  • Manage and improves Autosort operations, identifying and correct problems that may prevent the depot from achieving metrics.
