I have been a union laborer for local 242 since 2017 and have worked for several companies.
Kiewit (Federal Way Light Rail Extension):
Building rail for both DF and Ballast track.
Setting rail elevation and alignment.
Pouring concrete
Stripping forms.
Building rail switches and crossovers.
Distressing rail
Thermite rail welding
Setting concrete ties
Ceco:
Worked on more than 10 different high rises stripping formwork for concrete decks. Including Amazon buildings in Seattle and Microsoft campus in Redmond.
Safely and efficiently taking apart formwork including: pole shores, HV system, plywood, hole covers, and edgeworth.
Operating scissor lift and boom lift.
Scraping and cleaning concrete off of formwork.
Separating and stacking materials on carts.
Rigging carts of material and communicating with crane operator to get them flown where they are needed.
Scraping floors and keeping jobsite clean.
Loading trucks with material at end of job.
Superior Gunite:
Shoveling rebound from shotcrete.
Setting up, and operating shot crete pump.
Backing in concrete trucks.
Making sure hopper stays full.
Keeping eye on concrete and communicating with driver when to add water and how much to add.
