Database administrator for 18 years. I originally started as an Oracle DBA working on 9i and 10g in the private sector. The company i worked for asked me to work on a contract to administer MYSQL database. With no MYSQL experience, i went on to become the main DBA on the project for the next 15 years. Over that time we also created Postgres instances which i had to also learn and administer.
