  • Increased membership with strategic marketing plans to the current levels of 325 member firms in ACECFL and 2750 individual members of FES. Increased financial reserves to $1.6 million for ACECFL (more than 100%) and $250,000 (beginning at $0) for FES over 11 years.
  • Oversight of contract consultants covering legislative and governmental affairs, legal affairs, public/media relations, publications, accounting and auditing with several key victories including milestone inspections for condominiums.

  • Executive Director Florida AGC Council 1998-2006 - Upon the accidental death of the then Executive Director I led both the Chapter and the Council from November 1997 until I took over the Council in June of 1998. Most legislative victories were lien law related, specifically pay-when-paid provisions. Also led the effort to change affirmative action requirements resulting in a precedent setting federal court decision in 2004, and the creation of the One Florida Plan from Governor Jeb Bush.
