Dedicated professional with a strong background in security and management, seeking the Security Supervisor position at the Detroit Institute of Arts.


Leveraging extensive experience in customer service, security, leadership, as well as a passion for art, to ensure the safety of visitors and staff while protecting arguably (and in my personal opinion) the most important collection of artwork currently on display in the United States.


As a relatively successful artist with experience in gallery management and multiple personal exhibitions, in addition to a background in security, sales, and customer service, I feel that I bring a unique perspective on museum security operations which may be better suited to the position of Security Supervisor.

  • Promoted to Customer Service and Manager of Security Operations within first year of employment as sales associate, after achieving one of the highest performance records in the company's 23-year history.


  • Hired, trained, and managed employees in both sales and security departments, fostering a high-performing, satisfied team; all of which have maintained employment with Spa Service, Inc from their hire date to my departure from the company prior to accepting my current position at the DIA.


  • Implemented a simple, effective, online survey and review system to ensure quality service and customer satisfaction. As far as I know, this system is still in place today.


  • Streamlined security operations and reworked employee scheduling systems, allowing for semi-remote work from early 2018 to 2023, whilst maintaining the same degree of quality and efficiency in both sales and security departments.


  • Automated service technician scheduling via online time slot selection system - met with overwhelmingly positive feedback by both staff and customers upon it's implementation.


  • Coordinated deliveries, billing, and maintained a very high degree of customer/distributer satisfaction (Neatly quantified by the aforementioned review system).

Art Workshop Organizer NGOs in Nepal and India 2018 - 2019

  • Organized and led several art workshops in rural Nepal (Sarangkot) and India (New Delhi), providing creative outlets, skill development, and fostering a sense of empowerment.


  • Collaborated with local communities and organizations to create positive change through art education - often requiring approval, funding, and coordination with local and regional government.



Animal Rescue Sanctuary Coordinator Vrav, Bulgaria 2019 - 2020

  • Managed logistics for the re-homing of rescued animals, coordinating with adoption centers across Europe and their respective governing bodies in regards to transportation/importation regulations.


  • Supervised staff, distributed paychecks, and oversaw international transportation of animals, including immunizations and medical paperwork.


  • Ensured the welfare and successful placement of animals in their new homes by conducting online interviews with potential adopters.



Artist Collective/Event Space Manager Guiyang, China 2018 - 2018

  • Supervised Gallery Operations and coordinated the delivery and importation of artwork and equipment - often proving to be quite a challenge due to the facility's fairly remote location and lack of transportation infrastructure.


  • Organized several pop-up events and exhibitions, including the hiring of temporary staff and coordination of artist travel, payment, and logistical issues such as Visas and work-permit acquisition, often requiring extensive communication with various Chinese Consulates.
