Operating water treatment systems in the field, converting raw water to processed and potable water
Operate and monitor plant systems from the control room using DCS, SCADA, or HMI systems
Maintain optimal plant performance by adjusting operating parameters
Respond to alarms, abnormal conditions, and system changes in real-time
Support gas turbine startups, shutdowns, and load changes
Coordinate with field operators to ensure safe and efficient operations
Maintain accurate operational logs, reports, and event tracking
Follow established procedures for emergency response and plant safety
Conduct data trending and assist with root cause analysis of equipment anomalies
Support environmental and regulatory compliance monitoring
Treating wastewater and cooling systems to maintain quality and safety standards
Monitor unit processes and adjust flow rates, chemical feed rates and other variables to maintain desired operational performance
Diagnose problems and perform routine maintenance of treatment facility and production well equipment to assure proper operations
Engage and/or assist in the emergency repair and maintenance of treatment equipment, pumps, motors, sensing devices, instrumentation, and electrical equipment
Monitor operating conditions and notify team Lead Operator and others when maintenance and repair work is needed
Monitor and maintain chemical and equipment inventories to ensure their accuracy and readiness for service
Collect and record operational data on equipment and plant operations and prepare written records and reports as required
Coordinate the transportation, segregation and storage of wastes generated in accordance with established Company, local, state and federal environmental and safety regulations
Clean and maintain treatment plant grounds as necessary to ensure safe working environment and compliance with O&M requirements
Understand and adhere to all company health and safety procedures as they relate to essential job functions
Notify team Lead Operator and others of conditions that have the potential to create permit violations or negatively impact system performance
Assist with the collection of samples from treatment systems and make adjustments as required
Assist as needed with occasional ongoing environmental investigations or remedial actions. This may involve contractor oversight and collection of soil and groundwater samples
