Primary Responsibilities:The Refrigeration Technician Journeyman will perform skilled maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, repair and inspection work on complex refrigeration equipment. Performs installs, repairs, adjustments and replacement of refrigeration components, such as compressors, engines, coils, and electrical systems. Enhances service department and organizations reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing work that meets and exceeds customer expectations. Practices and promotes a safety culture. Inspects, maintains and repairs refrigeration units, and all systems/components related to heavy duty tractors, trailers, and refrigeration units Tests systems, components and connections using electrical, mechanical and Freon test equipment Troubleshooting of refrigeration units. Compressor repair Soldering and brazing of refrigerant lines Charges and leak checks refrigeration systems Performs pre-start up checks on equipment and communicates repairs necessary Read complex wiring diagrams, blue prints, and schematics Performs and interprets diagnostic testing to determine malfunctions on all equipment types Verifies equipment performance by conducting system tests, and downloads Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical and regulation publications Requisitions material and supplies from supervisor; and orders from stock room Rebuilding components on equipment Complete all Repair Orders in a timely manner ensuring all labor and parts are charged to the appropriate unit Attend to all company training classes Application Process We are currently interviewing candidates for this position.
