Dependable Plumber and Septic Technician, dedicated team player and top performer consistently meeting project deadlines and budget goals. Knowledgeable about importance of quality work and preventive maintenance. Over 18 years of experience in residential and commercial plumbing and 5 years in Septic Pumping.
To whom it may concern, My name is Allen Young and I will be applying for the pipeline operators position that you are currently advertising for. I was born and raised on a ranch in Malta, Montana where I am currently employed and reside. Growing up on a ranch, I was instilled with a hard work ethic and respect for others at a very young age. I attended Malta High School and graduated there in 2008. While attending high school I started working for a local lumberyard/plumbing shop in 2005. I kept the same job throughout high school and started full time immediately following my graduation. After a couple years, I enrolled in the apprenticeship program for plumbing while continuing to work full time. The program consisted of several books that contained many assignments as well as a test at the conclusion of each book. In addition to the bookwork I was required to log thousands of hours of time before I could take my Journeyman's test. In doing this, I feel it gave me great experience in leadership and responsibility. In 2016, I was able to take and pass both the written and practical tests (both of which are very complicated) to become a journeyman plumber, both on the first try. Since that time, I have done basically all aspects of plumbing from small service work to being the foreman of re-models and entire new homes. In March of 2019 I decided to take my knowledge of plumbing and start my own Septic Pumping business, with this I obtained a CDL. Everything I have done I work very hard at and take extreme pride in my work. I enjoy what I do, but I feel that it is time for a change of scenery, and having a wife and three kids, I need to find a job with better benefits that include health insurance which my current job doesn't offer and am willing to relocate. Although I haven't worked in your exact field of work, I feel I would be a good fit to your company. Being a ranch kid and a tradesman, I have great knowledge of tools and machinery. I have used anything from a simple pair of channel locks, pipe wrenches, or any kind of power tool to running machinery such as fork lifts, skid steers, tractors, amongst many other pieces of farm equipment. Along with my knowledge, I have a very strong work ethic and take pride in everything I do, and also work well with others but am also motivated and can handle the responsibility of working alone. Thank you for taking the time for reading this and considering me to become one of your next employees. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at 406-390-4815. I work in a very rural area and sometimes can be working out of service for hours or days so if I don't answer feel free to leave a message or text and I will gladly get back to you as soon as possible. I look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards, Allen Young
