So it all starts back to when I was 13 and got confirmed through our church. We went to an assisted living facility to experience what it was like to live the way the elderly lived. I immediately fell in love with the elderly and knew besides becoming a mother, that this was what I was going to do with my life. I started being a CNA almost right out of high school. I worked until I became a mother, and was fortunate to be able to stay home with my children until my children went off to first grade & then went right back into it. It warms my heart to be able to care for the elderly at the end stages of their life. The older I get however, from doing skilled nursing for 30 plus years has taken a toll on my body. Lets be honest, our bodies at 50 aren't the same as when were in our 20's!
I am a team player and will do whatever is needed, even if it is not in my job description, were are all there to do one thing....make sure our Residents live a happy life and have what they need.
