I am currently the Safety at MN Oncology Maple grove. I have been in my position for 4 yrs, I maintain the safety of the clinic by following these guidelines


Safety walks will all new employees Meetings

  • Committee members will attend the 4 quarterly meetings per year.
  • If a replacement is sent to represent the clinic, it is not counted as an absence.
  • Safety Walk-Through
  • Safety walks must be completed and thoroughly documented (i.e. posted on the public drive) quarterly and at least two weeks prior to meeting.
  • Safety Training
  • The committee member will help to track the mandatory safety training required at their site:
  • Annual Safety Refresher training will be made available in June with a completion goal of 60 days.
  • New employees
  • Follow up and site training must be completed within one week of receiving the Employee Safety Training Checklist from HR. HR will identify and notify the Safety Committee member what was covered during orientation and what remains within 1 week of orientation.
  • The Safety Committee member must return this checklist to HR.
  • Mantoux’s/Hepatitis
  • Coordination of the new employee to get their 2nd Mantoux and the Hepatitis vaccine is to be performed by the Safety committee member.
  • Policies and Procedures
  • The Committee member will update the assigned site-specific policies and procedures.
  • All policies must be reviewed upon joining the Safety Committee and then as updates occur.
  • An SOP updates sign off sheet will be managed by the Safety Chair.

  • The committee members will complete any assigned special projects.
