This job entails being a critical care trained nurse acting as an on-site physician “extender” in the intensive care unit. When the intensivist is not on-site or cannot physically reach the patient, this position allows an effector to arrive at the bedside within five minutes of arrival for assessment. This allows said nurse to visualize the patient and report and all information about said patient to the intensivist for safe care.
