While working at Ford I was a temp with Olsteen. I received employee of the month twice while I was the lead at their on the go location.
As a temp I was facing unemployment during the summer months which brought me to apply at Aldi's. After almost 2 years at Aldi's I'd like to transition back to culinary career as that is somewhere I shine. While Aldi's is a great company I do not see myself growing within the company as it take brut strength to do so.
I started as a part time cashier. I moved to a full time associate. As an Aldi's associate you work all zones of the grocery store. From produce, meat, cooler, freezer and grocery. Another aspect of the job is unloading truck. Operating machines to unload and stock full pallets of product within fast paced time expectations.
At TA I was the lead and trainer for the hot box. The hot box is on the go food items for travelers at a gas station. I prepared a variety of hot sandwiches, pizzas and appetizer for sale in a hot box at the cashier stand. I also prepped cold and frozen foods for sale. Those items included fresh fruit, breakfast sandwiches, biscuits and gravy and many more. I coordinated with management as I was in charge of my own inventory and supplies. I only left this job to move closer to my sick mother.
I've reached out to Rhonda Wooten at Earhart about joing her team. She has invited me to apply for a position with her on her behalf. We have maintained a relationship as I began working with her at Ford. I look forward to coming back to career that I flourish in and fulfills me.
