I have worked in a medical based laboratory position for 23.75 years. In that time I have been in a hospital and clinical laboratory setting. I have worked with infant through geriatric age ranges, in charge of phlebotomy duites. Collecting and handling of specimens, with attention to patient identification and quality care. One on one work environment with local and out of town physicians and specialist; with experience in both medical and emergency room procedures. I am a certified in phlebotomy with, annual competency training, to also include federal DOT collections. I am also trained in the procedure for arterial blood collections. I have gained alot of experience during my current employment, and have also trained many other phlebotomist in that time. I also have previous knowledge of billing and coding criteria, as well and multiple computer programs, to include currently Cerner software system.
