I graduated at the top of my class from Delaware Technical and Community College in 2011, & have continually demonstrated exceptional skills in staging and scoring sleep studies. My performance consistently exceeds the global average, as evidenced by my participation in the Inter-scorer Reliability Program through the AASM.
As a Senior Registered Polysomnographic Technologist, my duties involve performing all the responsibilities of a Sleep Tech. In addition, I conduct weekly patient chart reviews, create and maintain the tech schedule, manage inventory and supplies, review physician orders for accuracy prior to initiating any type of diagnostic procedure or treatment plan, and train new employees. I also serve as a resource for technical troubleshooting and provide guidance and support to junior team members. Overall, I ensure the smooth operation of the sleep lab and maintain the highest standards of patient care. .
As a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist, my responsibilities include collecting patient information to determine testing parameters in collaboration with the ordering physician, explaining procedures clearly and providing education, and applying EEG electrodes and other sensors according to established standards. I perform routine PAP mask fitting and desensitization, complete physiological calibrations, and implement appropriate interventions such as PAP therapy and oxygen administration as needed for patient safety and therapeutic intervention. Additionally, I score sleep stages and clinical events using accepted guidelines, comply with relevant laws and regulations for safety and infection control, demonstrate strong teamwork skills as well as the ability to work under minimal supervision, and adhere to HIPAA laws and privacy policies
