Third-year student at DePaul University in Chicago studying Communication and Media with a focus in Journalism, and a minor in Architecture and Urban Development. I am passionate about storytelling, community building, and engaging with Chicago’s vibrant cultural and music scenes. Through independent journalism work and hosting a weekly radio show, I have developed strong interviewing, reporting, and on-air communication skills across multimedia platforms.
Gaining hands on journalism, reporting, and interviewing
I am beyond interested in event planning, promotion and coordinating to foster community and collaboration. My architecture studies give me a unique perspective that helps me to materialize these goals of building and implementing community forward inclusive spaces.
My work experience as a tennis instructor for youth has taught me the importance of caring for our future generations. I developed group leadership and teaching skills, helping my students build confidence and skills.
I recently volunteered with the Chicago Underground Film Festival, where I promoted the event on their street team, and soon joined their hospitality team. Hospitality meant being a welcoming presence to guests as well as ensuring client needs and relationships were upheld.
