  • Company Overview: Founded and managed Allison Schiller Design, a boutique jewelry Design firm that marketed its products through B2B channels including major national high-end retailers, wholesalers, fashion-related publications, showroom, trunk shows and the Internet.
  • Design and sold jewelry collections that blended gems and other lapidary and estate-sourced elements with artisan metal work to create items that are unique, visually appealing and difficult to replicate. Responsibilities included selling to retailers, designing quarterly collections, managing Page2 showrooms and employees, external public relations and web development firms, negotiating sourced materials. Maintaining relationships with major suppliers, retailers and third-party investors; developing new channels of distribution and managing the company’s staff to be organized, cohesive and in communication as a team.
  • Achieved a 90% close rate by cold calling on retailers and positioning a product line that appeals to their target customers. Landed more than 100 retailers within the company’s first year including Fred Segal, London Jewelers, Material Possessions, Bloomingdales, and MIX at the Breakers.
  • Achieved a 90% retention rate on relationships that generated more than 60% gross margin by introducing new collections on a quarterly basis, positioning the collection within their unique brand, consistently meeting deadlines and by delivering outstanding customer service without exception.
  • Landed deals with New York and Los Angeles showrooms resulting in the rapid increase of orders and clients such as Bloomingdales, Takashimaya, Gilt Group, Golden Bear, Elyse Walker and many others.
