• Student Teaching, Blue Mountain Elementary East, Orwigsburg, PA, January-March 2020. Led students through multiple activities throughout the day. Planned and implemented lessons that demonstrated my ability to explain concepts in a variety of content areas at the third-grade level, including Math, Reading, English Language Arts, and Social Studies. Differentiated my instruction to meet the needs of all the students in my classroom. Managed a classroom of 16-21 students at a time, improving upon my behavior management techniques. Attended IEP meetings for students in the class.
• Professional Semester, Blue Mountain Elementary East, Orwigsburg, PA, October-December 2019. Led students through Calendar Math activities to start the day. Planned and implemented hands-on lessons in a variety of subjects. Assisted students throughout the day on individual and whole-group work. Created bulletin board to display student work of a craft activity I lead. Attended IEP meetings for individual students where parent(s) and teachers were present.
• Child Care Provider/Assistant Teacher, Bangor Child Care, Bangor, PA, June 2016-January 2019. Took attendance and followed daily schedules. Assisted lead teachers through lessons and activities. Responsible for and monitored students throughout the day, both indoor and outdoor. Created and maintained a positive and welcoming classroom environment. Implemented behavior management techniques and handled behavioral issues as they arose.
