Internships

I was a intern during my bachelors program at the Mental Health Association, Long term structural residence for a semester. I worked with adult clients who were diagnosed with variety of mental health diagnosis such as Schizophrenia, Schizo affective disorder, Bipolar disorder, Borderline personality disorder, depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma, Etc. I learned how to document progress notes, create individualized treatment plans, complete individual therapy sessions and group therapy sessions and assisted clients with ADL's and other tasks. 

I was a intern for the Intermediate Unit 1 as a school social worker through the Albert Galatian School district during my Masters program. I worked with clients who had IEP's/504 behavioral plans and implemented individual therapy sessions. I completed intakes, treatment plans, and progress notes for documentation of progress. I learned some about insurance billing and how to handle crisis situations. I attended school meetings such as SAP and IEP meetings with the Social Worker.
