I'm involved in a campus ministry called Christian Challenge. This ministry meets once a week at the union and over a hundred students gather for worship and to listen to a talk from the pastor. Challenge is a great way to be involved around campus and it's an awesome way to get connected with new people and grow in your faith. It's also a great community of people who can help uplift you and become your friends with similar values.
I am involved in the Pi Beta Phi Chapter at Kansas State University. I am currently a member of the chapter as of October 2023. Pi Phi's philanthropy supports the Ali Kemp Foundation as well as the Champions are Readers program. We support the Ali Kemp Foundation by taking a self-defense class with our whole sorority to educate us on how to protect ourselves if we are in a dangerous situation. After this, we host a philanthropy event where we sell cookies and the money raised goes to the Ali Kemp Foundation. To support the CAR program our chapter has a book drive and all the books donated are given to the CAR program which are given to students around the Manhattan area. We also support this program by having a few people each week go to the local elementary school and read to students in different classrooms and show our support for the CAR program. Being in a sorority is an awesome way to get involved around campus and to get to know more people and make connections. There are also fun events to attend like intramural games and fraternities philanthropy weeks where we compete against all the other sororities. I plan on being in a leadership role next semester to help with the Chapter and to be more involved.
