I worked as a tutor through my school district’s library for a little under a year, helping a student with their assignments and adapting to different learning styles. This experience strengthened my patience, communication skills, and ability to explain concepts clearly.

I gained valuable experience in customer service and hospitality working here. My responsibilities included greeting and seating guests, managing reservations, handling cash and checks, and ensuring smooth restaurant operations by assisting staff when needed. These roles taught me how to navigate fast-paced environments, effectively communicate with customers, and problem-solve in various scenarios. Some more of my responsibilities:

• Took reservations and to-go orders by phone, answered customer questions, and informed of accurate wait times.
• Managed reservations effectively, accommodating special requests and ensuring accurate guest counts.
• Collaborated with servers to ensure smooth transitions between tables, minimizing wait times for guests.
• Resolved guest complaints professionally, taking appropriate action to address issues and improve future experiences.
• Trained new hostess staff members on company policies, procedures, and best practices ensuring consistency across all shifts.
• Coordinated large party bookings both on the phone and in-person, creating organized seating plans tailored to guest needs.
• Promoted repeat business through engaging conversations with guests, remembering preferences, and personalizing their experiences.
