Diligent and hard-working candidate ready to contribute solid effort as team member. Thorough and highly organized with excellent communication skills. Reliable worker with strong work ethic.
As Control Room Operator at Lignetics , I have been trained/ certified in Oregon OSHA safety standards. I work a 12 hour rotating shift. My daily work detail includes a walk around inspection of the plant. Beginning of every shift starts with inspecting valves for fuel flow, watching in-feed augers and screws to ensure proper material movement, and checking material flow piping. Every thirty minutes I take moisture samples of material to ensure the product meets company standards. I adjust moisture valves as temperatures and material moisture changes, From the control room, I watch the control panel screens to make sure the temperatures stay within the safe and ideal levels, watch product moisture gauges to keep moisture in the appropriate levels per plant and corporation standards, and continually monitor all plant equipment within view of the cameras. I update a detailed work shift log every 30 minutes with temperatures, mass flow of material, wood fuel and air compressor levels, amperage of the 3 pellet mills, wet chip hammer mill amperage, fuel mill amperage, and main hammer mill amperage. I am able to troubleshoot problems while the plant is producing, including shutting pellet mills down for daily inspection, replacing worn equipment, and adjustment for preventative measures. Any parts or equipment that is replaced due to being worn or broken is logged into my shift log, and a work order booklet. It is my responsibility to troubleshoot any problems to keep production flowing and to reach daily set goals. When my shift ends I sweep and shovel the waste in the plant before my relief arrives for a smooth transition of shifts.
I began at Tri Star by operating a 2154 John Deere log loader loading log trucks, I quickly cut down load times from 45 minutes to 15 minutes.
Due to quick self- learning I was then promoted to work on a 2656 John Deere log proccesor. My job was to delimb trees and cut the wood into the lengths the sawmill requested. I was able to increase log production by proccesing 1,500-2,000 logs per working shift with minimal to no equipment break downs.
The company also had me operate a 750K John Deere dozer on overtime hours, my job was road maitenance which included; grading, plowing snow, building roads, and building turn arounds for logging semis to be able to operate efficently. Other duties included, closing roads, closing landings, and turning dirt roads into walking trails on past jobs that met Forest Service standards.
I was then promoted to be in the hotsaw position. I learned how to operate 3 different John Deere feller bunchers my job included, cutting down trees of specific diameter and laying them in skids for the John Deere Skidder to move to the processesing landing.
Lastly I was able to learn how to operate 2 different John Deere skidders to fill positions for coworkers who were sick or on vacation and my duties were to drag skids to the log proccesor quick and efficently and also to lay brush down in soft muddy areas along the skid trails to prevent creating deep ruts in the mud.
