Summary

I grew up in a Christian family that taught me at an early age to fear the Lord and to cherish His Word above all things. I grew up going to Union Baptist Church, and though I knew of God, I did not officially trust in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord over my life until 2014. I gave my life to Jesus shortly after returning from a multi-church summer retreat. Thereafter, I began reading the entire New Testament within the first six months as a follower of Jesus. Out of those six months came my calling into ministry to become a senior pastor. I developed a passion for Scripture and proclaiming it to others through whatever means I had. I would witness to my classmates and began my work in ministry by serving at Unity Baptist Church in Picayune, Mississippi, where I currently serve as both Media/Tech Director and Student/Associate Pastor.

  • Developed a comprehensive ministry for students grades seven through twelve.
  • Coordinated with the Pastor at Unity Baptist Church and other staff in planning, scheduling, and leading the various ministries at Unity Baptist Church.
  • Developed and oversaw the worship, Bible study, evangelism, missions, outreach, fellowship, and events of the student ministry.
  • Organized Sunday morning Bible study materials accommodating to the age and gender of students.
  • Prepared an annual budget to be presented to the Finance Committee of Unity Baptist and managed the budget throughout the year.
  • Assisted the Senior Pastor in the Sunday morning service as it pertains to leading and serving the congregation.
  • Taught and preached on a regular basis to students, as well as to the various other ministries and congregation of Unity Baptist Church, particularly on the occasions of aiding the Senior Pastor in pastoral care responsibilities.
