2014-2015 TALAE Teacher of the Year Awardar

Having worked with students of the GED  for 10 years and ESL program for 8 years at  the time of the award,  I put my heart and soul  to meet all students need.  I came to work early and leave late. I love all my students. GED and ESL.  Then one  day,  teachers had to attend a conference in Houston, Texas  which I didn't want to attend, but force to go.  To my amazement, my name was called for the award.  I was speechless.   With no written notes, I remember rumbling not knowing what to say because this was the first time I had ever awarded a price by my colleague and my  students.

Laying the Foundation of hard Work pays  well. No matter what you're trying to accomplish, when you do your best, everyone benefits.
