ALTON JONES

My name is Alton Jones and I grew up in Dallas, Texas At the age of 18 I joined the military to help my parents and get college money I also wanted to travel the world and learn how to fight My scores were very low so the only MOS I was able to get was infantry 11 bravo A month into basic training on September 11 the the planes crashed into the twin towers The United States was under attack Our basic training changed that year and turned us into war dogs Not a year after basic training I was shipped to Iraq with the 2nd combat team out of 4th ID We were part of the units that caught Saddam During my time in Iraq I found out about Masonry I always wanted to join but did not know how So, for the next 20 years I was looking and wondering how to become I was on Facebook and seen a family member of mine was a Mason So when I seen him I asked him how do I become a Mason, and he said you just did I have now been in the Lodge for almost 3 years I have did a lot of work at the lodge and I have also attained my 33rd degree I am a driver manager at Estes Express and this just I work long hours and 6 days a week My attendance has not been great, but I am here when I need to be I have helped a few members find jobs to earn a steady paycheck Also, have helped some members in a time of need
