Demonstrate attention to detail in administering medications, inserting peripheral IVs/NG tubes/foley catheters, performing assessments, providing both medical and nursing treatments, and completed documentation.
  • Assess and communicate changes in neonatal patients’ conditions to the Neonatal Nurse Practitioners and Physicians while working collaboratively as a team. Respond as a medical team to provide lifesaving treatment to “codes” throughout the unit.
  • Educate new parents on the care of their new infant; for example, breastfeeding and everyday care. Communicate with parents or guardians about the care and medical procedures related to their infant.
