• Lead onboarding, orientation, competency validation, and annual education compliance for Registered Nurses, Patient Care Technicians, Unit Associates, and agency staff within accredited neuroscience and specialty care programs.

• Partner with unit and hospital leadership to advance quality, retention, and patient outcomes through initiatives including fall prevention, intentional rounding audits, discharge follow-up phone calls, retention rounds, and organization-wide educational and fundraising events.
• Organizes professional development initiatives and activities, including completing contact hour program application.
• Participate and coordinate hospital wide initiatives like all-in-one training days, certified nurse’s day, nurse’s week block party, med/surg skills days.

· Managed daily unit operations, including staff scheduling, vacation approvals, payroll, daily staffing based on unit needs.

· Monitored performance of all nursing staff, conducted annual staff evaluations, educated staff on new initiatives and monitored compliance. Counseled staff and provided disciplinary action as needed.

· Led daily huddles and interdisciplinary rounds on the unit to promote care coordination and unit through put.

· Monitor quality metrics for unit including infection rates and patient satisfaction scores and developed performance improvement initiatives. Reported data monthly to nurse manager and presented at staff meetings.
