I have a strong foundation in acute-care nursing. The past four years I have worked CMP7 at St. Elizabeth's in Brighton, where the population ranges from post-stroke care to inpatient care of the cancer patient, whether they are undergoing palliative procedures or recovering from complications of chemotherapy. I am comfortable and confident in my role, and I prioritize RESPECT and COMMUNICATION with the team supporting a patient, including CNAS, doctors, and family members.

Work History
RN - Medical/surgical Floor
Steward St. Elizabeth's Medical Center
Brighton, MA
12.2020 - Current
In 2020 I took a role on a medical-surgical floor at St. Elizabeth's. The floor was designated as oncology, however, because of the chaos of organization left by COVID, the floor was populated by a variety of patients including neuro: post-stroke care, post-craniotomy, and syndromes such as Guillian-Barre and new ALS. We also had a section for elective joint surgeries, and (because of the presence of chemo-certified oncology nurses) patients who were actively being treated for cancer but required hospitalization, often due to complications from/intolerance of chemo.
RN - Psychiatric Floor, Locked
Steward St. Elizabeth's Hospital
Brighton, MA
04.2015 - 12.2020
At St. Elizabeth's locked psychiatric floor, I assumed more of a leadership role, including taking role of charge nurse with responsibility for coordinating admissions and delegating routine tasks to other staff. I prided myself on learning firsthand how to identify and prioritize safety issues, including not only escalating conflicts but situations that might become medical emergencies.
RN
Bournewood Health Systems
Brookline, MA
07.2013 - 04.2015
I've been working as a RN since 2013, when I graduated with honors from UMASS-Boston. I was already employed as a CNA, and immediately took a position as a nurse in a small psychiatric hospital in Brookline. There, my role consisted mainly of behavioral intevention, including administering medications and injections, when necessary, to treat severe and dangerous psychosis and agitation. Although the skills I learned at Bournewood were valuable, we did not treat patient with co-occuring medical problems, which is why I moved to St. Elizabeths' hospital in 2015.
