Alyssa Mehalovich

Dear Board of Directors,

I would love to show my interest in joining the Boys and Girls Club Associate Board. During my second year with the Portland Winterhawks we have partnered with the Boys and Girls Club and have held numerous events in all of the clubs around the Portland Metro Area. One of the highlights of this partnership for me is seeing the impact that our team and organization has had on the youth. The Boys and Girls Club is also very close to home as my Dad went to Lionel Clegg Club growing up.

I will add value in the following areas below:

Inclusion and Opportunities

I will add value by using our contacts and resources to help support the organizations and clubs in anyway the Portland Winterhawks can. I will continue to provide learning experiences and opportunities for each child and club. I value and listen to every member and their ideas while working together for a common goal.

Communication and Collaboration

In my current job I am very detail-oriented and make sure that my communication is always clear and concise. I pride myself in working well with others and push myself to thrive in diverse communities. I believe that being able to communicate efficiently and effectively is what makes a team successful.

My background working in Community Relations has allowed me to be inclusive and direct in my line of work. I am so grateful to have the ability to work with all groups, organizations, and people for the common goal of bringing the community together. I am not only an ambassador for the Winterhawks but I am an ambassador for everyone within our community and work with groups for the common good of our peers. I believe that with my current skills and willingness to learn I would be a great fit for the Boys and Girls Club Associate Board.
