I started my first job at 16 and worked full time at Cafe Rio while maintaining good grades for most of my last two years of high school. I kept a good relationship with management and other staff through out my two years there and became a trainer less than a year of working there. I was able to manage through rush hours, short staffed days, and working multiple different positions at once. I almost always agreed to coming in on days off or work doubles on days with no school if my manager needed me to. I could handle most in person and over the phone customer interactions whether good or bad. I left Cafe Rio to pursue interest in the Navy and completed over half of the expected boot camp time. I was separated for reasons out of my control but during my time I worked well with the people around me and did my best to succeed in every challenge they through my way and kept up with physical, educational, and organizational standards. When I was separated I spent 3 weeks in separations and took on a role that made me in charge of all the girls in separation which ranged from 100-150 girls. I made sure everyone had their accomodations, went to their appointments on time, made it to every meal on time, stayed organized and clean, and many other things. After I came home from separations I began online school and I am working for my Bachelors degree. I also began working at Amazon shortly after I came home. While at Amazon I have learned to work with management even more directly and run departments on my own. I take part in meetings with management that provide insight on ways to make the warehouse safer, improve productivity, and improve associates work days all while still being a tier 1. I work under stress most days while still staying organized and being able to work with my peers.
