Hello,
My name is Alyssa Toro, and I recently married Brian Toro in November 2024. We have been together for four years, and he has been a caring father to our four-year-old son, Atlas. Brian Toro is Atlas’s stepfather, and I consider him his father because he has been a father to Atlas since he was three months old.
We have two dogs: Willow, a two-year-old white German Shepherd mix, and Ace, a seven-month-old border collie mixed with a blue heeler.
I was born in California and raised in Orange County. I am the middle child of three stepbrothers and three stepsisters. I have been working since high school, and my parents have instilled in me a sense of responsibility and the realities of adulthood.
I am outgoing and friendly, although I can be reserved when I am not comfortable. I am an excellent communicator and have been dedicated to my job and a valuable team player. I am also known for my willingness to go above and beyond to help others, even when they do not explicitly ask.
I enjoy spending time outdoors with friends and family. Family is one of the most important aspects of my life, and I cherish the moments we share. I am also an animal lover, and I have developed a deep passion for working with and caring for animals since my time at Newport Hills Animal Hospital.
During my tenure at Newport Hills Animal Hospital, I was responsible for grooming all dogs and cats that were referred to me and my team. The environment was fast-paced and demanding, requiring me to clean all the kennels after most of the dogs were discharged after receiving care. I also walked the dogs, collected their waste, and cleaned our establishment. Additionally, I assisted technicians by preparing vaccines for dogs that were due for vaccinations.
Working with animals has been an unexpected revelation for me, and I now aspire to pursue a career as a veterinarian technician. I am planning to enroll in the veterinarian technician school at A&M University in the fall of 2025.
