Recommendations

Daniel Stanley, Assistant Crawford County Prosecuting Attorney, 112 E. Mansfield St., Bucyrus, OH, 44820, (419) 562-9782, 06/03/24, I am writing this letter of recommendation in support of Ms. Abdon in regard to her qualifications as a Victim's Right Advocate. I have been an assistant prosecuting attorney for over 18 years, and I had the fortune to work with her in my capacity as a Morrow County Assistant Prosecutor from January 2021 through January of 2022. I also had professional interaction in my current position as a Crawford County Assistant Prosecutor during my employment here. Amanda is a superior advocate for victims of crime. In my time with her she was very organized and detailed in following numerous victim-related cases, including domestic violence, sexual abuse, and property crimes, among any other she was called to assist with. She was able to communicate clearly with victims from all walks of life and doubtlessly helped them navigate the sometimes intimidating and complex legal system they find themselves entwined with. She was always up-to-date with the status of the court cases, and is very capable in keeping up with sometimes transient victims. Amanda was very able to connect on a personal level with these victims which was invaluable in supporting my ability to prosecute those cases. She also worked diligently in helping them with incidental services, such as obtaining civil protection orders, housing, and Attorney General's Office services. Having had experience with other people in her line of work, Amanda has been the best victim's advocate I have had the opportunity to work with. She works with initiative, compassion, and diligence and there is no quality for this position that she lacks. Any office would benefit from her great work. I wholeheartedly support her in this role and would look forward to recommending her to any such endeavor.
