Clinical Assistant covers a wide range of every aspect of a medical office. I work up front, registering patients, verifying demographics and insurance information, answering patient phone calls requesting medications, appointments, or referrals. I work as a CNA, obtaining patients' vital signs, receiving complaints and symptoms, updating charts with current medications and problems, and preparing the patient to meet with the provider. I refer patients if they need any kind of service that our office cannot provide. I decide on who or what they need to be seen for, and where they should go. I then make the patient appointment and provide the patient with all the information to prepare them for their consultation.
