Summary

I am eager, hardworking, self-motivated, and I strive to give my all to any job that I am tasked. I wish to find employment pertaining to my teacher licensure and/or my Criminal Justice background. In regard to education, I hold endorsements of Social Studies and Mild/Moderate Disabilities. I am qualified to perform multi-task operations. I have a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology and emphasis in Corrections. I also have obtained a master’s degree in Criminal Justice Leadership. I successfully completed the Teach MS Institute, which is an alternate route program that has allowed me to secure my teaching license with endorsements in Social Studies and Special Education, mild and moderate behaviors. Most recently, I have served as an Inclusion Teacher for the Harrison County School District and the Chickasaw County School District, where I tutor and assist those students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to succeed in their education. I have also served as the 9th grade Boy’s Head Basketball Coach and the JV/Varsity Boys’ Basketball Assistant Coach for the school year 2023-24 at the West Harrison High School. Previous to this, I was an Inclusion teacher and the Assistant Girls Basketball Coach for the Houston Lady Hilltoppers for the two years as well as the High School Girls Track Coach. I am knowledgeable with the federal standards required to fulfill and compose said IEPs. I will always seek to find ways to accommodate all students to the best of my ability to secure their educational endeavors. I believe education is key and all should be afforded the opportunity to better themselves. In regard to my Criminal Justice background, I have experience multiple facets of both Law Enforcement and Corrections. For six years, I held the rank of Captain at the Hancock County Sheriff's Office, where I was the Assistant Warden/Chief of Security of the Jail. Previous to that, I supervised convicted felons in the role of a Probation/Parole Officer for the Mississippi Department of Corrections. I also have patrol experience as I worked part time for the City of Houston and completed my internship as a Chickasaw County Reserve Deputy. I have a great personality, display professionalism, and work well with others. I feel I would be a great asset to your Criminal Justice Department.
