Job shadowed as a Patient Access Representative at Christus Trinity Emergency Department. Which included checking patients in, handling insurance and consent forms. This experience gave me a better understanding of the role of a Patient Access Representative. I was able to observe how staff interacted with patients and how efficiently they handled patient intake. I also learned the importance of being organized and following protocols.
