Dynamic special education professional with a proven track record at Whitharral ISD, enhancing dyslexia programs and implementing effective 504 plans. Known for exceptional teamwork and meticulous documentation, I excel in grant writing and organizing impactful volunteer initiatives, fostering a positive learning environment for diverse learners.
I was brought in to strengthen their special education and dyslexia program. I was in charge of maintaining records, teaching students, monitoring growth and implementing the students 504 plans.
When I first became a teacher at Whiteface I went into a needed kindergarten position. After the position was no longer needed I moved into the special education department for the pre-K through 5th grade students. I also handled and implemented the dyslexia, reading intervention and 504 programs. After 7 years I was called into the 2nd grade classroom as a teacher for math and science where I stayed until moving to a school closer to my home.
While here I handled many fundraiser programs, had my class participate in many volunteer groups, and made bi-yearly trips with them to the nursing homes.
I was in charge of the special education program at the elementary. My husband was stationed in Levelland so we made the move.
